Context
Pope Francis cancelled a number of Easter engagements due to ill health, under the premise of being able to attend more important ones. He is reported to suffer from repeated bouts of bronchitis and other respiratory illnesses. I wondered if his ill health was more serious than reported, so cast this chart.
Interpretation
Pope Francis is a well-known religious leader, Lord 9, The Moon at 13° 56’ of Sagittarius. It sits in the turned 6th house from house 9, showing a focus on illness for the Pope at this time.
In death charts, both radical and turned Lord 8 come into play – contact with either tends to give a ‘yes’. Radical Lord 8 is Mercury at 26° 58′ of Aries. Turned Lord 8 is Jupiter at 17° 7′ of Taurus.
Pope Francis’ significator, the Moon, will square Venus before making any contact with Jupiter or Mercury – an aspect with death is prohibited, keeping the Pope from death for now.
