Context
The Metro in the city where I work was mostly down. I’d been told it was still going to my stop by an attendant. There were no screens to say when the next train was due, and I was on the verge of leaving and walking to the office instead. So, to see if it was worth waiting, I decided to cast a chart for the question ‘what time will the train arrive?’ at 11:08am.
Interpretation
Lord 1, the Moon, is me. The train forms part of my commute, so is Lord 3, the Sun.
The condition of the train is irrelevant – I know they’re running to where I need to go, albeit delayed. Receptions are also irrelevant, but we know I want the train to come, as the Moon in Lord 3’s domicile shows us. It also shows me under Lord 3’s power – reliant on the train.
Here, the aspect is all that’s important – the Moon applies to trine the Sun in 5° 07′. Timing units couldn’t have been seconds or I’d already hear it coming, and hours is beyond the pale. So, 5 minutes, or thereabouts.
Result
The train pulled into the platform and opened its doors at 11:13am!
