Cast as the news of a ‘hard landing’ of Raisi’s helicopter in foggy weather conditions was on the news, this chart is an excellent demonstration of death horary. It is also a strong example of why the querent being directly involved in the events around a question is not required. A strong interest in the topic at hand and a turned chart is all that’s needed.
Interpretation
The querent is not Iranian, and therefore Ebrahim Raisi is a foreign (H9) leader (H10). The turned 10th house from the 9th, or the radical 6th house. Raisi is therefore Venus at 25° Taurus 4′ in House 6. There are two immediate descriptive testimonies for death or dying. The first, Venus is combust and applying to the Sun. The second, Venus sits close to Caput Algol, a highly negative fixed star with death-like themes, including being cut apart or beheaded, like Medusa. Under many circumstances, we might look at Venus in domicile in Taurus and say ‘he’s fine’, but here it is clearly descriptive of a man who is still (fixed) and on the ground (earth sign). Combustion also obscures – hence the difficulty finding the location of the crash in foggy weather.
At this stage, we don’t know if he’s dead, but we have a fairly good idea he’s dead or as good as dead at the point of the chart. For further confirmation, we can look to the key in death charts – Lord 8. In a turned chart, there are two options to play the role of death – radical Lord 8, Mercury in early Taurus, or turned Lord 8 from Raisi – Jupiter at 28° Taurus 33′ in House 7. Venus applies directly to Jupiter in 4° 20′ or so, providing a connection between Raisi and death. All testimony tells us Raisi is dead, or dying, on the ground and likely the victim of fire in some way.
Results
The next day, at 5:30am GMT, news sources confirmed the president had died. There was no news of precisely when he was thought to have died, along with all passengers and crew on the helicopter. Later, pictures of helicopter wreckage emerged, the pieces spread out and surrounded by scorch marks. His body was later recovered, with observers suggesting the corpse was not intact.
